Starting Salary:

PATROL DEPUTY (Based on 84-hour work schedule) $69,284 - $92,291
DETENTION OFFICER $54,096 - $76,374
2 Weeks of Vacation leave per calendar year
13-14 Holidays per calendar year

3.69 hours of Sick Leave accrued every pay period (you may use it as it is earned under our policy manual)

Medical, Dental, and Vision are offered at no cost to the employee
All uniforms and equipment issued
Annual uniform allowance
All Commissioned Peace Officer's firearms are issued to include pistol, rifle, and shotgun

In-house training for all required TCOLE hours is provided at no cost

Certificate Pay (Basic- $1,200, Intermediate- $2,400, Advanced-$3,600, Master- $4,800)
Kendall County participates in a retirement system, the Texas County & District Retirement System (TCDRS).  Employees are vested after 5 years of service credit. The county matches the employees' pay (1.75%) at 7% interest
Kendall County 457b Plan (401k) with a county match.
