Deputy Alex Kabuss is the SRO (School Resource Officer) for Herff Elementary School. Alex attended school in St. Louis, Missouri, and graduated from Fox High School in 2006 before joining the U.S. Navy. He started his law enforcement career in 2011 as an officer with the Ross Township Police Department, a community just outside of Cincinnati, Ohio. During his time as a police officer in Ohio, Alex worked as an F.T.O. (Field Training Officer) and as a School Resource Officer for his local High School. In 2020, Alex challenged the State of Texas peace officer's exam and was awarded his Texas peace officer's license before moving to Texas. He has since worked as a patrol officer for the City of Bulverde, before being sworn in as a Kendall County Sheriff's Deputy. Alex currently lives in San Antonio and enjoys hiking, primitive camping, dog training, and spending quality time with his 18-month-old son.
