Last night was nothing short of amazing as we launched the Second Annual Sheriff's Citizens Academy - Comfort Edition! We were blown away by the incredible turnout and the excitement in the room.

 

After sharing a delicious spread of sandwiches and fresh fruit, we got things rolling with a heartfelt welcome from Sheriff Al Auxier, followed by a rundown of what the next nine weeks of learning, connection, and behind-the-scenes insight will look like.

 

Then, we dove into an eye-opening and powerful presentation on Mental Health in Law Enforcement, led by the dynamic duo Deputy Michelle Quade and Deputy Michael Cokerham. Their passion, experience, and honesty set the tone for what this academy is all about: learning, understanding, and partnership.

 

We're so grateful to everyone who came out, and we're already counting down the days until next week. This is just the beginning of something really special in Comfort!
