Every now and then, a dog comes along who doesn't need a spotlight to shine. Meet Dolly, a 6-year-old sweetheart who may not have made the official adoption program roster, but she has made her way into someone's heart.

 

Dolly found her way into the Pawsitive Pups program with quiet paws and soulful eyes, and while she didn't stay long in the lineup, she made a forever impression on one of our own. James, one of our amazing county employees, saw right past her shy demeanor and knew Dolly was something special.

 

She may not have had the loudest bark or flashiest tricks, but she had the gentlest soul and the warmest snuggles. And sometimes, that's all it takes.

 

Now, Dolly's days are filled with love, long naps, and belly rubs just the way she likes it.

 

Here's to the ones who don't always make the roster, but change lives anyway.
