In early February 2024, the Kendall County Sheriff's Office received information that an educator working at Comfort High School was having an inappropriate relationship with a student. After a detailed investigation, investigators determined that the educator, Tye Rexrode, had a sexual relationship with a student on multiple occasions. The investigation resulted in arrest warrants being obtained, and on March 28, 2024, Tye Rexrode was arrested and booked on three felony warrants for Improper Relation Between Educator and Student with bonds totaling $600,00. The investigation is continuing and investigators expect additional charges to be filed in the future.
