Every year during Police Week, thousands of Law Enforcement Officers as well as civilians join together in Washington D.C for a 5K Walk/Run to honor all those who paid the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. We are hosting our own 5K to honor our very own Deputy Carlos Ramirez who was killed in the line of duty on July 2nd, 2019. Please join us at the Joshua Springs Natural Preserve at 8am on Saturday, May 13th, 2023. This is a family fun event. When registering please choose Kendall County Sheriff's Office for the team name. Registration is $50 and will benefit the Officer Down Memorial Page as well as Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S). All registrations include a race bib, shirt and other goodies.
