Our Mental Health Unit has been asked to present at multiple conferences across Texas to provide education on mental illness, mental health, and de-escalation techniques. On Thursday, Deputy Cokerham and Deputy Quade presented to 168 Justice of the Peace Court Clerks from different counties in Texas. They discussed different ways to de-escalate and handle situations regarding a person they may encounter in their courts that are experiencing a crisis or upset.
