Get to know the Kendall County Sheriff's Office K9 Unit:
 
Deputy Granado and K9 Tajga
 
 
K9 Tajga is a Dutch Shepherd that was born on July 1, 2019, in Poland. Deputy Granado, her handler, has been with the Sheriff's Office since July 2018. Deputy Granado also served in the US Marines as a K9 handler for 5 years. Deputy Granado has his Master Peace Officer License and has had Tajga since June 2021. Deputy Granado says that Tajga loves to eat and her favorite meal is Sardines and dry fish. Tajga loves to bite people and is always on level 100. Deputy Granado said Tajga loves to give hugs and is super friendly but when she is at work, it's go time. Tajga's favorite toys are kongs. Tajga's favorite thing to do is cruise in the patrol unit with the windows down.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Cpl Boerner with K9 Luna 
K9 Luna is a Dutch Shepherd that was born on March 28, 2019, in Mexico. Cpl Boerner, her handler, has been with the Sheriff's Office since January 2013. Cpl Boerner has his advanced peace officer license and has had Luna since November 2021. He says Luna loves to play outside and loves playing with his kids at home on her days off. Luna loves ice cubes, especially in her water on a hot day. She also loves playing in the water and will try to blow bubbles in her water bowl in the patrol unit. Luna loves her tennis balls and is sweet as can be.
