Drug Arrest

On Wednesday 10/13/2021, at 4:19 PM, Dep. Justin Granado was on patrol when he observed a vehicle commit a traffic offense on I-10. Dep. Granado stopped the vehicle and after making contact with the male and female occupants, K9 Tajga was deployed and alerted to the presence of drugs inside the vehicle. Dep. Granado searched the interior of the vehicle and located methamphetamine and a handgun. The male driver, of San Antonio, was placed under arrest for Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance over 4 grams, but less than 200 grams, as well as Unlawfully Carrying of a Firearm.
The search also yielded additional methamphetamine, along with several pieces of identifying information that did not belong to either of the occupants. The female, also of San Antonio, was placed under arrest for Fraudulent Possession/Use of more than 5 pieces of Identifying Information and Possession of a Controlled Substance, more than 1 but less than 4 grams.
