Bike Patrol

The Bike Patrol Division consists of five deputies. These deputies are certified through the international police mountain bike association (IPMBA) which is an intense week long school that combines Emergency Vehicle Operations for bike officers with patrol procedures, tactics, night operations, scenarios, and basic bike maintenance and on-the-road repairs. They learn to ride like a pro, avoid crashes, and use their bike to foil the bad guys every time.

Bike patrol has been a great asset during large events throughout the county. This is just another tool we have to help preserve the peace within Kendall County. They are often seen patrolling on foot and or bikes in the township of Comfort and the county parks.  Many of the areas patrolled by the Bike Patrol Division are not accessible by vehicle.

Kendall County offers a myriad of fabulous trails throughout the community for walking, jogging, hiking, cycling. Including Joshua Springs Park & Reserve, James Kiehl River Bend Park, And Kreutzberg Canyon Natural Park.
