10-year old Devarjaye " DJ" Daniel was diagnosed with terminal brain and spine cancer a little more than three years ago. DJ has always wanted to be a police officer and due to his diagnosis, wished to have 100 agencies in Texas swear him in as an honorary police officer. Well DJ got his wish and a little more. Sheriff Auxier along with 39 other agencies around the San Antonio area joined together on Monday 2/7/2021, to celebrate and honor DJ at CBC San Antonio. Sheriff Auxier said that DJ was a hoot and it was amazing to see how a 10-year old was able to touch so many lives in a short amount of time. DJ wore the Texas Tan uniform as each and every agency celebrated him throughout the day. Sheriff Auxier was honored and proud to swear in DJ as an Honorary Kendall County Deputy.
